What are Contacts?
Contacts includes your phone/email contacts who aren't on Trutap. It also includes your friends who are on Trutap. You can add your friends, give them nicknames, view their profiles and send them free Trutap messages and emails. You can also send SMS messages which will be charged at your normal operator rates.
How can I add contacts?
When you find someone in the Search section, you can add them as a contact. To add friends who aren't on Trutap, go to Contacts and select 'add contacts'. You can import them from your mobile or add them individually. You also get the option of sending them an email or free SMS invitation to join Trutap.
Editing contact details
You can select a contact and edit their 'details', i.e. the details you have for them, including setting a display 'name' for them.
How do I invite friends?
You can invite friends to join Trutap using the left key on the homepage. To invite all your friends, go to Contacts and select 'add contacts'. When you have imported or added your contacts we will prompt you to invite them. Alternatively you can invite your email contacts by signing into www.trutap.com.
What are Contact Groups?
Contact groups enable you to send Trutap messages to lots of people at the same time. When they reply, the message goes to everyone.
Managing groups
Go to the contact groups section in Contacts to manage your groups. You can add more contacts to a group, remove contacts, create new groups and rename existing groups.
